Research call

How to propose or contribute research.

G3O data are intended to be used by researchers outside the project. If you are working with them, or would like to, we are glad to hear from you.

Browsing and querying the registry needs no request and no account. Working from the data in bulk does: bulk access is a reviewed request rather than a download, and what to put in one is set out on the bulk-access page.

The data are published under CC BY 4.0. Cite the version you worked from and the date you accessed it.

The panel is still being built. Coverage and validation are still in progress, so it should not yet be interpreted as systematic or fully validated.

When you write, tell us what you are working on:

  • The question you are asking.
  • The version of the data you are working from.
  • Roughly when you expect to have results.

We are not asking as a condition of use. We ask because two projects should not unknowingly run the same study, and because designs answering the same question are worth comparing while comparison can still change them.

A formal call for papers will go out in Fall. Its deadline, format and venue are not yet decided, and this page will not name them until they are.

For any of this — using the data, telling us what you are working on, or asking about the call — write to info@g3observatory.org.
